Job Title: Power BI Developer (Excel to Power BI Migration) Location: Remote (USA) Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C, No 1099) Position Type: Contract W2 Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong expertise in migrating business reporting solutions from Microsoft Excel to Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing existing Excel-based reports, designing robust data models, and delivering visually compelling and scalable Power BI dashboards and reports. Key Responsibilities: • Work closely with business users to understand existing Excel-based reports and analytics. • Perform detailed analysis and mapping of data sources used in Excel files. • Migrate and redesign Excel reports to Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and visualization best practices. • Develop, publish, and schedule interactive reports and dashboards. • Optimize data models and DAX queries for performance and scalability. • Implement and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) and other Power BI governance protocols. • Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to streamline the migration process. • Conduct end-user training sessions to transition users from Excel to Power BI. • Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements post-migration. Required Skills & Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience in Power BI development. • Strong experience in migrating complex Excel reports to Power BI. • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data modeling. • Solid understanding of Excel formulas, pivot tables, macros, and advanced Excel features. • Experience working with SQL and various data connectors. • Ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have: • Prior experience working in healthcare or diagnostics domain. • Knowledge of Power BI Service administration. • Familiarity with data governance and compliance practices.
