Data Analytics Consultant – Microsoft Fabric & Power BI (Remote) Location: Chicago, IL Job Type: Full-Time About KiZAN We make technology personal! Position Summary: We’re looking for a Data Analytics Consultant who thrives on solving complex problems, can confidently lead client conversations, and knows how to bring data to life using Microsoft technologies. You’ll be part of a high-performing consulting team, working with clients to design, build, and deliver data-driven solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and the broader Microsoft Data Platform. Responsibilities: • Consult directly with clients to understand their business objectives and data challenges. • Lead and facilitate workshops to gather requirements and define solution architectures. • Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports, datasets, and dataflows. • Develop and implement solutions using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Real-Time Analytics components). • Create and maintain documentation, including technical specs, user guides, and best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, engineers, and project managers. • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Stay current on Microsoft’s data platform roadmap and emerging tools, including Copilot for Power BI and Fabric. • Ability to travel, overnight up to 25% • Ability to travel independently to client sites; if by car, a valid driver's license or reliable method of transportation is required • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma required; Technical degree preferred • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering roles. • Proven experience with Power BI (DAX, M, modeling, dataflows, Row-Level Security, performance tuning). • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including working with Lakehouses, Pipelines, and Notebooks. • Strong consulting experience: requirement elicitation, client presentations, solutioning, and stakeholder management. • Familiarity with Azure Data Services (Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, etc.). • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead meetings and workshops. • Experience working in collaborative, fast-paced, client-facing environments.
