Proficiency in database or programming platforms is necessary. We're seeking a talented Data Scientist - Environmental Consulting professional to join our team at Jacobs. As a Data Scientist - Environmental Consulting, you'll be responsible for delivering complex technical solutions that apply your environmental data understanding and EQuIS experience. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills, the ability to balance work on multiple tasks, and an enthusiasm for learning and troubleshooting. Our team works in a dynamic environment with data managers, scientists, planners, engineers, and technologists. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow, a self-starter who takes initiative, versatile, and has a client service mentality. You'll be responsible for contributing to project data management, including data tracking, data loading, and data delivery. You will also develop the competency to work on all phases of data management in EQuIS. A Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, Engineering, or directly related discipline is required. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of environmental consulting experience and 1+ years of experience in environmental remediation field work. Some experience with database or programming platforms (for example, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Visual Studio, Visual Basic for Applications, HTML, JSON, Java/JavaScript, Python, R, or similar) is required.
