Job Type Full-time Description Smiley Technologies, a disruptive fintech organization based out of Little Rock, Arkansas is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a small Agile team of Data professionals involved in building a next generation automated cloud warehouse, part of the Smiley Technologies platform. The successful Data Engineer will work alongside the Data Architect, as well as a wider Agile team of Data Engineers, Software Developers, Network Engineers and Designers, to collaborate in the development of cutting edge cloud warehouse, that is sold exclusively within the financial sector. What Smiley is looking for? A Data Engineer, capable of working alone and alongside the Data Architect Expertise in Azure Databricks, DBT, SQL Server, Git and Kimball. A strong technologist with programming skills in languages such as Python or C#. A team player with an interest in innovating solutions for the future! What would you be responsible for? Providing expertise in the design, architecture and implementation of Azure based data warehouses Develop new data structures in OLTP and OLAP databases Perform impact analysis on data structure changes and ensure compliance with database standards such as SPII, PCI DSS and Data Security. Review and optimize SQL queries and support wider team members with SQL related queries. Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks Workflows. What technologies will you get the opportunity to work with? Our primary stack is Microsoft .Net and Azure, so on a daily basis we are working with the following technologies: DBT (SQL, Jinja) OLAP (Kimball) Databricks (Python, SQL) PowerBI VS Code Terraform Azure Data Factory SPI, PCI DSS OLTP Python If you have experience with most of these technologies, and you're happy to pick up some new skills along the way, it sounds like a good match!
