Azure DevOps Engineer (Houston, TX - hybrid 3 days onsite) (BH-102684) Location: Houston, United States Sector: Energy & Renewables Salary: $70.00 to $80.00 per hour Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer Location: Houston, TX 77002 - 3 days onsite Duration: 12 months Hourly Pay: $70-$80 Project Details: • Primary infrastructure is based out of Azure. • This role will support the infrastructure, not the application side. • Initially, they will start out doing maintenance work, and then quickly it will be new implementations. • They are upgrading ERP systems from on-prem older version to cloud-based, Azure. • They are moving from Dynamics AX 2012 R3 to D365. • Terraform is used for infrastructure as code; Terraform skills are not needed as templates have already been defined. • Python is used for scripting. • A centralized infrastructure group is in charge of accountability for all of this; the application team does the day-to-day work. User Access Management: • Create, modify, and delete application user accounts as needed to grant or revoke access to applications and file sharing services. • Support periodic access reviews and audits to ensure that access permissions are up-to-date and aligned with business requirements, making adjustments as necessary. Build and Release Management: • Coordinate and execute the build process for applications, ensuring that builds are created accurately and efficiently. • Manage the release, including deploying releases to different environments. • Work with development teams to automate build and release processes where applicable using Azure DevOps and other tools. Azure Platform: • Have or quickly gain proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Functions, API Management (APIM), Load balancers, Application gateways, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Dashboards, and other relevant Azure offerings. • Have or quickly gain an understanding of Cloud networking and security groups. • Support cloud-based applications and solutions, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate with CloudOps and developers to optimize the performance and scalability of Cloud resources. Team Collaboration: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, functionals, product owners, system administrators, and business stakeholders, to support sprint activities and environments. • Participate in meetings, discussions, and collaborative problem-solving sessions to address technical challenges and drive solutions. Qualifications: • Must have 5 years of strong Azure experience, supporting various types of infrastructure. • 5+ years' experience with Azure DevOps. • Some knowledge of Dynamics AX 2012 R3. • Knowledge of Terraform. • Python scripting. • AWS is a plus.
