Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to support our data migration, harmonization, and analytics initiatives in a DoD clinical data environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, standardization, and advanced analytics for informed decision-making and mission success. This position is located in Arlington, VA and requires an active Secret clearance. Key Responsibilities: • Data Migration: • Assess the current state of clinical data and develop a robust migration strategy. • Execute data transfer activities with a focus on integrity and validation. • Conduct post-migration testing and ensure successful data transfer. • Data Harmonization: • Identify and resolve discrepancies in data formats across various datasets. • Implement protocols to standardize datasets in accordance with clinical and research requirements. • Informatics and Analysis: • Apply informatics tools and methods to interpret complex datasets. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights. • Data Science and Statistical Analysis: • Utilize machine learning and data mining techniques to identify trends and patterns. • Perform rigorous statistical analysis to ensure validity and reliability of results. • Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain detailed records of processes, methodologies, and workflows. • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing project status, findings, and compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications: • 4 years of data science experience, including at least 2 years supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) • Proficiency in machine learning tools for feature selection, classification, and model optimization. • Strong analytical skills and practical experience with: • SQL • Microsoft Excel • R or Python (statistical programming) • Data visualization and presentation tools • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences. • Demonstrated collegiate-level writing ability. • Familiarity with U.S. Army organizational structure, operations, and regulatory environment. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. Security Clearance: • Active Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and Advana data science tools.
