We are seeking a highly experienced Application Architect to lead enterprise-grade cloud solutions and application development using Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years in an architectural role, and strong expertise in Azure PaaS, .NET, SharePoint, and SQL Server. This position is onsite in Hermitage and Nashville, TN, requiring hands-on engagement with business and technical teams. Key Responsibilities: Solution Architecture & System Design: Lead the architecture, design, and planning of enterprise-scale applications using Azure, .NET, and SharePoint. Define non-functional requirements (NFRs) including scalability, availability, security, and disaster recovery. Create conceptual architecture diagrams, design proposals, landscape planning, and capacity estimations. Ensure cross-platform compatibility and authentication & authorization mechanisms (Azure AD, MFA, Key Vault). Architect high-availability, multi-region, and multi-set architectures using Azure virtual networks, availability sets, and affinity groups. Cloud & Microsoft Technology Integration: Design and implement solutions using Azure PaaS technologies: Azure Web App, Azure API App, Azure Functions Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage Azure Service Bus, Azure Cognitive Services (ML, AI, RPA, Bots, OCR & NLP) Azure Data Lake, Azure Redis Cache, Azure App Service Environment Azure Key Vault, Azure AD / MFA Drive application security best practices (OWASP, secure web applications, authentication protocols). Work with SharePoint development, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, and BizTalk for enterprise integration. Technical Leadership & Agile Execution: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to teams of developers and engineers. Act as an internal consultant, advising business and IT leadership on solution architecture. Lead proof-of-concept (POC) and feasibility studies to validate new technologies and approaches. Champion Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe) and DevOps practices to streamline deployment. Operational Support & Governance: Guide application deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning using Azure Log Analytics. Establish best practices in disaster recovery, business continuity, and release planning. Work with business stakeholders, project managers, and offshore development teams to align architecture with strategic business objectives. Develop technical documentation, architecture frameworks, and governance standards. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of IT experience in application development and maintenance with Microsoft technology stack. 2+ years of experience in an Application Architect role. Expertise in .NET Framework, Azure PaaS, SharePoint, SQL Server, and cloud-native development. Strong experience in designing enterprise-grade cloud applications in Azure and hybrid environments. Experience with authentication, security, and access control mechanisms (Azure AD, MFA, OAuth). Hands-on expertise in Azure cognitive services, AI, RPA, OCR, and NLP. Deep understanding of networking principles (IP Networking, WAN Routers, LAN switches, Telephony). Experience with SAP, BizTalk, and Microsoft integration tools.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and automation tools. Proficiency in React.js, .NET Core, and Azure Data Lake Design & Development. Familiarity with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) guidelines. Industry knowledge of ERP, HR systems, and large-scale data management solutions.
