Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsPosition SummaryThe Consulting Data Analyst is an analytically focused position within the Cyber Risk Management (CRM) team in the Information Protection & Security (IPS) department at HCA Healthcare. This position is responsible for innovating new capabilities by driving requirements for the design, development, testing, and deployment of data solutions with the objective to make risk visible, drive awareness and accountability, and facilitate well-informed decision making.This position will serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for other members of the Data Analytics team to provide guidance and support for their assigned functional areas, and for providing input and design for the future strategy and maturity of the Data Analytics team.Duties will include analyzing and understanding business risk processes and problems, creating reporting requirements, and identifying and defining the data linkage within and across subject areas within IPS.The ideal candidate will have practical experience in one or more of the following domains: SQL, PowerBI, Python, and general automation skills, MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel), data storytelling, and data correlation.Major Responsibilities:Simplifying complex and varied data sets into easy-to-consume stories and visuals to facilitate well-informed decision making.Working in tandem with other IPS teams to develop dashboards and reports that drive ownership and accountability of risk.Developing and maintaining metrics that can be used to support the overall Risk Management program.Working closely with other IPS and ITG teams to drive integration of data sources.Creating and following standardized processes to manage, analyze, correlate, and present data.Being a self-starter/self-motivated and driven to exceed established goals.Other Responsibilities include:Defining requirements for correlating existing data sets to risk metrics.Presenting data in clear and meaningful ways to be consumed by multiple audiences.Collecting and collating ad-hoc data as needed.Leading efforts to operationalize and automate data collection processes.Working collaboratively with IPS, ITG, Executive Leadership, and Business Unit staff.Performing other duties as assigned.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree Required.7+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role Required.3+ years of experience in data visualization Preferred.Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Licenses, Certifications, & Training:Certifications within Azure, GCP, and/or PowerBI Preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:Ability to translate business needs into requirements for data visualization work products.Expertise in Microsoft PowerBI.Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques as the role develops.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to be adaptable and flexible.If you are looking for an opportunity that provides satisfaction and personal growth, we encourage you to apply for our Principal Data Analyst opening.
