Sr Power BI Developer Location ;- Richmond VA (onsite) Key Responsibilities: • Expert knowledge with BI tools and systems such as Power BI • Prior experience in data-related tasks • Understanding of the Microsoft BI Stack • Mastery in data analytics • Should be proficient in software development • Be familiar with MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS and TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX • Analytical thinking for converting data into relevant reports and graphics • Capable of enabling row-level data security • Knowledge of Power BI application security layer models • Ability to run DAX queries on Power BI desktop • Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on the data set Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross functional teams. Ability to provide senior technical leadership to design, architecture, integration, and support of the entire data sourcing platform. Qualifications : -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Power BI Developer. - Proficient in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and star schema design. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team environment. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. - Experience with SQL and data integration tools. Preferred Qualifications: - Power BI certification. - Advanced proficiency in Power BI. - Expert in DAX functions. - Experience with star schema design and data modelling. - Strong SQL skills. - Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration. - Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power View.
