IT INFRASTRUCTURE ADMINISTRATOR New York, New Jersy Area JOB SUMMARY The IT Infrastructure Administrator develops, monitors, and maintains efficient functioning of the local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN). Reporting to IT Infrastructure and Security Manager, the primary functions and responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure Administrator include the following: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Overall responsibility of Pinchin’s network infrastructure, including the support of LAN, WAN Internet or Intranet systems for both local and regional offices. • Monitor and adjust performance of the network and continually surveying the sites to determine future network needs and making recommendations for enhancements in the construction of future servers and networks. • Maintenance of network hardware and software systems, analysing problems and monitoring the network to ensure availability to end users. • Data collection to identify user needs, interpreting and evaluating system and network requirements. • Maintenance and administration of the file directory and Active Directory structures. • Administer the perpetual inventory of IT infrastructure hardware and software. • Evaluation of network software, updates, and licensing requirements/purchases. • Maintenance of existing IT systems to ensure that the organization has maximized the benefit of the hardware and software purchased. • Development of training material for personnel in the use of the LAN, email, VPN and directory access. • Lead by example and in accordance with Pinchin’s Core Values and desired culture. • All other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or in Business Administration with strong Computer Engineering content. Considerable hands-on experience in: Windows Operating System required. • At least three years of experience in the administration of a Local Area Network under the Microsoft 2019/2022 operating systems and in the maintenance of a computer system, including installation of software and hardware components. • Certified IT Infrastructure Administrator preferably with Microsoft qualifications (i.e., MCSE (Microsoft Certified Engineer) or MCSA (Microsoft Certified Administrator)). • Certified Azure cloud associate (Azure Administrator Associate or/and Azure Security Engineer Associate). • VMWare Certified Professional (preferred). • LAN & WAN Administration (including security related hardware and software experience) and attendance at related administration courses. • Computer hardware and software systems maintenance experience. • Office 365 and Azure design and maintenance experience. • Ability to manage/design M365 and Azure security. • VMware management. • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated business awareness. • Excellent multi-tasking abilities. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to follow through tasks to completion. • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
