We are looking for a Senior Applied Scientist, Business Copilot Artificial Intelligence Team, to drive the data science efforts in delivering compelling copilot experiences within various areas in Microsoft Business Applications. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year. Responsibilities Contribute to the design and development of specialized ML, Gen AI, NLP models and LLM-based solutions that are optimized for both batch and streaming data processes. Experiment with different solution alternatives for the models' quality improvement (from data collection, preprocessing, to running tests). Work on fine-tuning, and prompt engineering, using NLP and other AI techniques. Collaboration with data science and tech divisions throughout the model's design phase and its subsequent deployment. Develop comprehensive evaluation systems and tools designed to validate model performance, ensuring precision, uniformity, and dependability. Document the modeling methodologies and protocols to serve as a repository for future reference and collective intellectual capital.
