Job Title: Jr. Systems Administrator (T1) Reports to: IT Operations Manager/Technical Lead Job Description: Beryllium InfoSec, Inc. is a cybersecurity and compliance company based in Dallas, TX and Minneapolis, MN. We are seeking an Jr. Systems Administrator ready to take on responsibility and looking to grow along with our continued successes. You will be working to help manage our virtual Cuick Trac Managed Enclave, as well as assist in the support of our clients technical needs as they work on their CMMC/NIST 800-171 technical implementation journey. You will be working with a small team of highly successful individuals and report to the IT Operations Manager to support the Cuick Trac Managed Enclave devices, networks, and firewalls proactively and reactively across multiple geo-redundant locations. You will be expected to manage, monitor, and maintain systems and environments at all levels of the data hosting stack. As a successful candidate, you must exhibit outstanding a troubleshooting and technical skills. You must be able to adapt to a variety of circumstances quickly, while remaining positive and lighthearted in your customer interactions. You will routinely interact with the clients, representing the company at every step. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain Azure infrastructure components including Virtual Machines (VMs), virtual networks, and virtual disks. • Manage Azure resource groups, subscriptions, and management policies to ensure efficient resource allocation and security compliance. • Maintain Azure Entra ID, and Intune for device and user management. • Work with our customer base to ensure Azure components are working to ensure a high-level of customer satisfaction. • Maintain Intune Policies for device management, compliance, and configuration. • Utilize Intune for Application Deployment • Collaborate with IT Tech Operations team members, as well as other teams (e.g., Security Operations, Compliance Operations, and other stake holders) to resolve multi-departmental issues. • Ensure and maintain a high-level of customer satisfaction with the team. • Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft 365 Office Suite for clients (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word) • Manage virtualized environments using Azure Host pools, Azure Virtual Machines, and other Azure related infrastructure. • Deploy and manage applications within Azure, utilizing Intune. • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to ensure optimal application and infrastructure performance. • Work with dedicated Security team to Implement and maintain security best practices for Azure environments, including access control, network segmentation, threat detection, and data encryption. • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CMMC) within the environment for relevant clients. • Basic Understanding of Service Desk and ITIL Processes • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Service Desk operations and processes. • Work with team to develop, create, and maintain up-to-date Documentation and Knowledge Base Articles. • Ensure adherence to organizational compliance policies and procedures (e.g.,NIST 800-171 R2, NIST 800-171 R3, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP Moderate). • Collaborate with other teams to prepare for audits, providing necessary documentation and technical expertise. • Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, resolving issues effectively and minimizing downtime. • Proactively identify potential risks and develop solutions with team to ensure proactive remediation to potential risks. • Collaborate with development teams, security operations team, compliance team, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of Azure solutions, compliance policies, organizational procedures, and maintain a high-level of Customer Satisfaction. Additional Responsibilities: • Stay up-to-date on the latest Azure technologies and best practices through continuous learning and training. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Adaptable and capable of learning new software and tools quickly. • Willingness to learn, and “Self-starter” attitude Required Skills & Experience: • Some experience in managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. • Some understanding of core Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, security). • Some experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Sentinel) for troubleshooting purposes. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desired Skills & Experience: • Certifications in Microsoft Azure (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-900). • Intune administration Knowledge • Knowledge of ITIL Best Practices. • Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems. • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP Moderate Equivalency) Benefits: We value our employees’ time and efforts.
