Akkodis is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a client located at Columbia MD Job title: IT Infrastructure Engineer Location: Columbia MD 21046 (hybrid schedule – 3 days onsite) Job type: Contract to hire Pay Rate/Salary: $70/hr. to $75/hr. on W2. ABOUT THE ROLE: Responsibilities: • Primary support as IT Network Infrastructure engineer in maintaining Network & Network Security Infrastructure within R&S Americas region. • Provide complete operational life-cycle and project-based support for R&S Americas Infrastructure. • Create and maintain SOPs, reference standards, architecture diagrams and other supporting documents as required. • Continue to identify and implement regular operational activities that can be automated and or transitioned to Level 1 support after adequate documentation and knowledge transfer for swift issue resolution and better customer experience. • As part of a larger team, maintain R&S Infrastructure that meets and beats the established OLAs on both availability and performance. • Follow R&S established ITSM standards while resolving incidents, problems & service requests and while making changes to Infrastructure. • Continuously assess the technology and service risk within Americas Infrastructure and make improvements to mitigate those risks. • Work independently, within a team environment to achieve business objectives. • Minimum Domestic and International travel would be required Top Skills (MUST HAVES): • Switching and Routing (LAN and WAN) protocols (VRF, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, HSRP, LACP etc.) • Network switches and routers - Cisco / Arista • Aruba Edge Connect/ Silverpeak -SDWAN solution(s) • Wireless • Python scripting and Linux OS Required Skills • Similar role that we worked in March; Much stronger emphasis on Intune/SCCM • Migrating enterprise migrations to Windows 11 • Leading the support (at a SME level) of platforms such as in Microsoft Intune, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Windows Autopilot managing Active Directory and related Group policy management at an enterprise level. • Experience required in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) • Mobile device management platforms (cloud based and on-prem) • Microsoft client device Operating Systems (Windows 10, 11, MacOS) • Troubleshooting Tier 2 and Tier 3 desktop challenges in the enterprise Benefits: Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, an EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
