About The Role Responsible for the design, configuration, installation, performance optimization, maintenance, and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise applications and systems. Acts as a technical expert in infrastructure deployment, maintenance, and administration across on-premises and cloud storage/compute platforms. Recommends redesign and configuration improvements for both on- premises and cloud infrastructure. Analyzes system requirements, develops specifications, and delivers solutions that align with organizational needs. Collaborates with staff and leadership to implement complex technical solutions, ensuring high service levels for all stakeholders. Key responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling new applications, servers, and software upgrades, managing licensing agreements, maintaining storage systems, and ensuring routine backups. Develops and maintains disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) plans leveraging multiple technologies. Responsibilities • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including Azure Cloud, VMware, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, SQL Server, and other core systems. • Manage SAN storage, replication, and backup solutions using tools like Cohesity, Zerto, and Azure Site • Implement and manage enterprise monitoring solutions for incident management and alerting, including Datadog and PagerDuty. • Configure network printing, directory structures, server permissions, security, and file • Develop and maintain comprehensive DR and BCP documentation and runbooks in alignment with organizational policies. • Provision, configure, and manage virtual servers and cloud resources to support business • Design, document, and implement technical solutions based on business needs, with a focus on automation and repeatability. • Create and present technical solution designs to management and • Develop and maintain standardized installation and configuration procedures using automation tools like Ansible or Puppet. • Test and deploy software and hardware updates, ensuring compliance with patch management policies using tools like Ansible and Automox. • Diagnose and resolve client system issues, recommend solutions, and coordinate • Identify and propose enterprise-wide system optimization • Lead special infrastructure projects independently, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals. • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise security platforms, including Proofpoint and Microsoft E5 Data Loss Prevention. • Implement and support endpoint protection solutions, such as Microsoft Defender and Cisco AMP. • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity testing. • Lead infrastructure support and implementation for both cloud and on-premises environments. • Provide 24/7 on-call support as part of a rotational schedule. • Act as an escalation point for Engineering and Support teams. • Assists in maintaining internal guidelines and operations manuals. • Assists with training as needed. • Back up to Help Desk and PC Technicians. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • At least 5 years of IT experience with a focus on enterprise systems, including server installation, system engineering, and operations in complex environments. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. • Proficiency in server monitoring tools and alerting platforms such as Datadog, LogicMonitor, and PagerDuty. • Networking Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP, Ethernet, and remote connectivity technologies. • Preferred Expertise in the following areas: • Azure Cloud and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offerings • Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) platforms • Microsoft 365 E5 Suite (Teams, OneDrive, Defender) • Windows Server • Microsoft Exchange (Online and On-Premises) • VMware • SQL Server • SAN Shared Storage (e.g., Pure Storage, Tegile) • Patch Management (e.g., SCCM, Automox) • Automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell DSC • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple projects in cross-functional environments. • High level of customer focus, with the ability to build trust and confidence among stakeholders.
