Job Title: Senior and Principal Data Scientist - Artificial Intelligence & Large Language Models Location: Northern VA Clearance Required: Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with Polygraph Job Overview:We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our team. This role is for a seasoned professional passionate about addressing complex challenges in national security, defense, and computer network operations. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment with high-priority government clients. Key Responsibilities: • Involvement in the development of AI, ML, and data science solutions for government clients, focusing on applications in national security and cybersecurity. • Design and implement scalable solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and OpenAI. • Provide technical and project leadership and support to cross-functional teams, delivery timelines, team responsibilities, and strategic initiatives. • Supporting cloud architecture and Computer Network Operations (CNO) research and development. • Supporting development of custom algorithms, including anomaly detection, and predictive modeling. • Engage with clients to understand requirements, shape project scopes, and ensure delivery meets client expectations. • Develop data-driven strategies that enhance operational efficiency and create business value for government stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. • Experience: Experience in AI, ML, data science, software engineering, or a related discipline. • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph or willing to take a poly at a later date. • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python and C. • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud Data Science & ML services (Databricks, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI. • AI & ML Techniques: Proficient in developing solutions with neural networks, deep learning, transformers, LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering. • CNO Security Exposure: Experience with or familiarization in Computer Network Operations (CNO), software development. • Data Pipeline Management: Experience with large-scale data pipelines, streaming analytics, and cloud-native architectures. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications in data science, cloud computing, or cybersecurity, such as Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist, or CompTIA Security+. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for project management and delivery.
