Position Overview: We are seeking a Warehouse Support Tech Specialist who is a borderline software developer (or software developer in training) to provide technical support for our warehouse operations. This role will be a critical link between our IT team, warehouse teams, and customers. You will assist in resolving technical issues, train warehouse personnel, and ensure that the Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions smoothly. Key Responsibilities: • Customer Onboarding Task Execution: Support customers as they get set up on our systems, ensuring smooth onboarding and integration. • SQL Data Management & Reporting: Utilize SQL to query database, extract relevant data, generate reports, and write customer-based rules. • IT Request Support: Address IT requests from internal and external teams, ensuring that their technical needs are met efficiently. • Respond to Customer Service Tickets: Handle customer service tickets related to warehouse systems and resolve technical issues. • Software Quality Assurance (QA): Perform QA testing on software updates and new features to ensure proper functionality. • Warehouse Personnel Training: Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff on how to use the WMS effectively and troubleshoot issues. • Proactive Assessment of Needs: Regularly assess customer and warehouse needs to identify areas for improvement or new system features. • Assist with implementing new IT features: Support the integration of new systems and applications, ensuring smooth deployment, testing, and troubleshooting. • IT Project Management: Assist in gathering information and support project timelines, ensuring tasks stay on track and aligned with business goals. • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting for WMS and related systems, ensuring minimal disruption in operations. Qualifications: Must-Have Skills: • Strong technical acuity, with experience in scripting, SQL, macros, or similar technical skills (borderline developer). • EXCELLENT written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. • EXCELLENT people skills, with a strong focus on customer service and team collaboration. • Proven customer service experience, with a strong desire to help both internal teams and customers. • Solid technical troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving issues in systems or processes. • Strong initiative to proactively identify and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Previous experience in warehouse management, inventory, or fulfillment. • Familiarity with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms. • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Education and Experience: • Education: 2-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in technical support or a similar role.
