Responsibilities: • The Senior Firewall Network Engineer will implement and oversee firewall policies based on input from the Information Security Team, liaising between Information Security and Networking teams for effective communication and collaboration • Guiding system designers on firewall requirements and documenting system communication flows • Advising business partners on B2B VPN requirements • Maintaining system communication design documents for all systems traversing firewalls • Assisting other teams in troubleshooting systems by analyzing firewall logs and interpreting packet captures • Ensuring firewall appliances have current OS versions, anti-virus signatures, applications, threat databases, Wildfire, and associated licenses • Evaluating emerging firewall technologies and providing recommendations • Performing firewall hardware replacements and upgrades as needed • Monitoring Service Desk tickets and delegating firewall issues • Participating in Technical Review Board and Change Advisory Board for system change management • Communicating with IT areas for planning and decision-making needs • Maintaining clear communication with health system departments and users • Researching firewall network products, services, protocols, and standards • Establishing connectivity and uptime service level agreements • Supporting administrative procedures and directives • Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager of Information Systems Required Qualifications: • Subject Matter Expert in Firewalls, capable of teaching / mentoring a Junior Network Engineer • 6+ years with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, preferably in healthcare • Technical knowledge of networking systems, protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools • Preferred Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge • Proficiency in TCP / IP packet captures • Relevant Microsoft Certifications • No required degree, just required experience Preferred Experience: • PCNSE Certification • 2+ years of team leadership • Skills in automation languages (Python, Java, Perl) • SD-WAN experience • Prisma experience Pay Rate: $60 - $70 / Hour If hired, you will enjoy the following ECLARO Benefits: • 401k Retirement Savings Plan administered by Merrill Lynch • Commuter Check Pretax Commuter Benefits • Eligibility to purchase Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance through ECLARO If interested, you may contact: Lea Enriquez leafer.enriquez@eclaro.com 646-695-2941 Lea Enriquez | LinkedIn Equal Opportunity Employer: ECLARO values diversity and does not discriminate based on Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status, in compliance with all applicable laws.
