Title: Director, Security Engineering. Location: New York, NY. Compensation: $200,000 - $235,000 + bonus & benefits. Glocomms are partnered with a globally leading financial services firm in the search for a Director, Security Engineering to spearhead essential projects related to AWS and Azure Cloud Services, Application Security, conducting security architecture reviews, as well as new tool/technology integration. Key responsibilities: • Advise the firm and its stakeholders on security objective's status, targets, functions, and progression. • Act as the SME by understanding and communicating complicated IaC, Cloud, and Application Security information. • Lead a large team of engineers, consultants, and employees from across the organisation at the senior level whilst managing 5 direct reports. • Oversee intricate deliverables between IT and Security teams to ensure deadlines, objectives, and specifications are fulfilled. • Use industry tools such as Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow to provide thorough status updates. • Train and mentor your team to ensure they are functionally aligned with the firms essential service delivery for the use of security tools, Azure, and Amazon Web Services. • Prioritise the teams tasks in order to facilitate the provision of essential services. Required qualifications: • Strong track record leading security engineering teams from a strategic and technically hands-on standpoint. • Excellent consultative and communication skills. • Experience managing multiple IT teams across Cloud Security, Application Security, and DevSecOps. • Strong understanding of AWS and Azure security architecture. • Strong understanding of DevSecOps as well as latest systems and services. • Ability to conduct code scanning from an AppSec standpoint. • SME in the entire develop lifecycle including processes, requirements, and ability to make valuable considerations. Technical skills: • AWS: Security Hub, Firewall Manager, IAM, Network Models, Control Tower, Authentication Mechanisms. • Azure: IAM/PAM, Azure AD, MFA, Event Hub, Subscriptions and Permissions. • AppSec: Veracode, Blackduck, Github/Gitlab/GitOps, CI/CD. • DevOps: TFE, Jenkins, Hashi Vault, Rancher, Kubernetes, Container Methodology.
