Position: Dynamics 365 F&O Solution Architect Duration: 12 months Location: Deerfield Beach, FL - Fully remote Client: automotive industry Rate: max $90/h on C2C Work authorization: US Citizens/GC/H1B with excellent comm skills Overview The D365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Solution Architect leads successful implementations and focuses on how solutions address the broader business and technical needs of organizations.The D365 F&O Solution Architect must apply advanced analysis skills and experience in the principals of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to provide reliable design solutions and key focus on quality deliverables. Apart from the industry experience, D365 F&O Solution Architect must possess deep knowledge of multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Solution areas, specifically in the areas of finance, supply chain, procurement, advanced warehousing, project accounting. The D365 F&O Solution Architect is responsible for overseeing design and implementation of various business solution components, as well as support efforts of specialists in other technical and business disciplines. They will assist in identifying and creatively solving complex business problems, envisioning and enabling critical processes, and fundamentally helping the business to achieve their objectives. Must be comfortable in delivering strategic presentations to audience of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills. The D365 F&O Solution Architect must be effective in fostering executive level relationships and become their trusted advisor with first point of escalation for any solution issues. Responsibilities: •Provide guidance to implementation team on various strategic areas such as ALM, Environment strategy, Integration strategy, Data Migration strategy, Security Strategy etc. •Responsible for the architectural design (functional and technical) and ensures compliance of solutions to Enterprise Architecture Principles and Technology Architecture Patterns •Work with program & project stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into design specifications. •Work hand in hand with program managers, project managers and project teams to ensure successful implementations. •Collaborate with business analyst, developers, technical leads, and project managers to ensure that D365 F&O solutions are delivered on time and to specifications. •Leverage the current and approved technology portfolio, enterprise architectural standards, and established patterns to create solution and technical designs that deliver the required business capabilities. •Stay up to date with the latest D365 F&O features and technologies to provide innovative solutions to business. •Develops tactical plans to execute strategy. •Evaluates business requirements and high-level designs for delivering proper solutions. •Proactively learn and utilize new technologies, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements. •Coaching and mentoring team members (including BA & Technical Lead). Assisting with reviewing the plans and monitoring the project progress. •Stays informed of current industry trends and emerging technologies and keeps skills current on modern technologies and tools. •Collaborate with other Architects, Developers, and Engineers to create synergies and drive technology reuse within and across projects. •Collaborate with Development Managers, IT & Business Directors and IT & Business VPs to help gain consensus and drive decisions required for projects and/or initiatives. o Approval of detailed technical designs and Vendor technical designs to Ensure the adherence to enterprise standards. o Reduce complexity. o Increase re-usability. •Drives down costs and complexity by using enterprise standards. •Designs solutions that meet the best interest of multiple stakeholders including those of the project and enterprise level •Designs solutions that leverage enterprise tools and have reusable components and services. •Work with business users to reduce technical complexity introduced by business requirements. •Ensure designs meet business requirements. •Provide recommendations that produce efficiencies in technology support costs and improve performance while meeting customer requirements. •Provide direction and mentoring to less experienced associates. •Translate highly technical problems in a manner that can be understood in business terms to a variety of audiences including project managers and business executives. •Present recommendations and solutions clearly and concisely and can focus on key points to portray the intended message or purpose. •Driving desired outcomes and decisions through trust and influence •Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams. •Acts as the lead Technology Services representative in the delivery of technology solutions. •Provide overall technical leadership and directs teams in the delivery of technology solutions. •Partner with Project Managers, Portfolio Managers, and technical stakeholders to deliver on the following responsibilities for end-to-end technical delivery. •Partner with PM to ensure a successful release to production including transition activities. o Ensure the realization of the solution architecture, making sure it is operable & costeffective. o Steer and drives progress on all technical delivery aspects. o Help identify all required roles and technology resources. o Ensure the assembly of the required technical teams. o Steer identification of technical tasks and milestones o Ensure technical requirements are delivered with quality and completeness. o Drive creation of financial estimates for all phases including TCO o Partner with PM to ensure a successful release to production including transition activities. •Assess risks, anticipates bottlenecks, provides escalation management, and collaborates to drive toward mutually beneficial outcomes. •Drive to effectively resolve and provide awareness for technical issues and risks. •Manage the partner relationship to ensure delivery of technical work done by 3rd party partners or vendors. •Provide feedback on the performance of internal technical team members to their leaders. Skills and Qualifications •5+ ERP large scale enterprise implementations of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (MUST) •Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated work experience in ERP technologies with 5+ years in Dynamics 365 F&O •Previous track record delivering the full project life cycle. •Agile & Waterfall Methodology & Knowledge •Familiar with all phases of D365 F&O software development life cycle using a combination of Azure DevOps and LCS. •Sound experience in D365 F&O development process, including experience with the X++ programming language. •Understanding of SCLC processes •Knowledge of emerging Microsoft technologies; Azure Cloud Platform, Power Bi, PowerApps, Flow, Azure Data lake, DevOps, RSAT •Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development •Knowledge of project implementation methodology, LCS and be quick to adapt as per project needs. •Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, and source control management systems •Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills •Experience in dealing with ISVs and Ips (Annata, SKGlobal, Avalara, etc) •Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. •Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with project stakeholders and team members at all levels. •Sound knowledge with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft .NET C# and key frameworks, Azure Service Bus, Logic App, PowerApps, Event Hub, Power Automate, Power-BI Reporting, Azure Data Lake, Message Services (SOAP / REST, XML, JSON, EDI), Azure SQL Server, SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, Azure Data Lake, MongoDB, CosmoDB, Messaging technologies, Cloud Knowledge (Azure/AWS), Version Control (Azure DevOps, GitHub, TFS), API technologies •Sound knowledge in Integration service (DMF, OData, Custom Service, Webservice, Biztalk) •Must have experience with delivering cloud-based solutions (private and public) •Domain Knowledge in Software Development, Software Design •Must have experience / background with systems integration. •Must be able to assist / coordinate on vendor management activities. •Must have proven track record of out-of-the-box thinking. •Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills are required. •Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business, Computer Science or a related discipline •Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations certifications •Strong industry and D365 Finance and Operations product knowledge •Excellent presentation, communication, leadership and business development skills to effectively present information. •Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to quality, self-motivation and a strong desire to succeed.
