The Global IT Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization's global information technology (IT) function. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, security, support, and strategic technology planning for a 500-user environment. This role requires a mix of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen to ensure a scalable, secure, and efficient IT ecosystem that supports our global business operations. The Global IT Director will lead a multinational team of IT professionals, manage strategic vendor partnerships, and drive technological innovation to optimize IT performance and effectively support the company's global growth trajectory. This individual will collaborate closely with senior leadership across business units to understand their evolving needs and deliver impactful technology solutions. Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company's technology strategy, aligning it with business objectives and fostering innovation. Lead, plan, organize, and manage the IT department, overseeing technology infrastructure, systems, and operations. Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and prioritize technology initiatives, evaluating their potential impact on business outcomes. Evaluate and recommend investments in technology solutions (hardware, software, services) to meet organizational needs effectively. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. Manage cybersecurity protocols to safeguard the company's data and information assets, guaranteeing the security, integrity, and accessibility of data and information systems. Cultivate a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, advocating for the integration of emerging technologies to optimize business processes. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to anticipate and address emerging IT challenges. Develop and maintain relationships with external technology vendors, partners, and relevant stakeholders. Effectively communicate technology strategies, initiatives, and progress to executive management and stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Minimum 10 years' proven experience including as an IT Director or in a similar leadership role within the IT department. Advanced knowledge of servers, networks, and business applications. Experience with Microsoft Azure Proven experience with Microsoft 365, including in-depth knowledge of its various components and capabilities. In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale technology projects and driving digital transformation initiatives. Excellent leadership and managerial skills to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Outstanding communication and people skills to collaborate effectively at all levels.
