Title: Manager Software Engineering, Azure Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Location: Must live in one of the following locations to be eligible: FL, GA, TN, TX, NC, VA, MA, IL, AZ, CO, WA,PA, HI Travel required: MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL FOR final round interviews to Tampa, FL and if selected orientation and for critical meetings etc. The Software Engineering Manager will lead and evolve our engineering discipline within the Artificial Intelligence & Analytics (AI+A) team. • This role does not require active coding, but qualified candidates must have the skills to operate as a software engineer With the skills outlined. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, extensive development experience in designing, developing, and implementing high performing, scalable Big Data solutions built on Azure. • Team & Technical Leadership – deep commitment to creating a highly collaborative, innovative and high performing engineering team that builds high quality, consumer-grade products • Provide hands on technical oversight on project initiatives to promote, influence, and guide delivery excellence • Ensure solutions are architecturally sound, performant, scalable, and maintainable • Continuously assess, prioritize and advocate for the reduction of technical debt • Coordinate with Technical Lead on organizing, planning and executing the teams work • Talent Management – solidexpertise and knowledge in resource management and staff performance management Skills & CompetenciesThe requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and ability to perform this job successfully. Technical Skills • Proficiency in the following is required: • Azure products: Databricks, Data Lake Storage, Log Analytics, Power BI Embedded, App Service, Functions, Kubernetes Service, Key Vault, SQL, Redis, Application Insights, Data Analytics, Lakehouse and APIM. • C#, Python, SQL, JavaScript and React (or other FE technology) • CI/CD pipelines using automated build, testing, and deployment processes to facilitate frequent and reliable software releases in a mature development setting • Optimizing software performance and scalability through profiling, tuning, and architectural improvements, ensuring applications can handle increasing loads and maintain responsiveness over time. • Strong team player with ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization • Ability to lead others and motivate with a positive and confident personal style • Expertise in issue management, including effective arbitration and negotiation skills between multiple parties • Expertise and knowledge in resource management and staff performance management, including hiring and performance reviews • Education or Prior Work Experience • 5+ years of relevant management experience leading teams of 7+ engineers across multiple technical disciplines • 8+ years as a software engineer with 3+ years designing, developing and implementing Big Data solutions on Azure • Prior experience with multi-tenant SaaS based applications preferred • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field • Experience working within established development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, adhering to structured processes for requirements gathering, planning, development, testing, and deployment Number Supervised: 8-12 Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $160,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • Monday to Friday Experience: • Software Engineering Management: 5 years (Required) • Azure Big Data Engineering: 8 years (Required) • Azure Data Lake: 5 years (Required) • Azure Data Bricks: 5 years (Required) • Power BI: 5 years (Required) Location: • Tampa, FL 33607 (Required) Ability to Relocate: • Tampa, FL 33607: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: Hybrid remote in Tampa, FL 33607
