The Universities of Wisconsin-Systems Administration seeks a contractor to help augment our identity and access management team that oversees our Microsoft 365 tenant. The current team members are involved in a project to move to Teams phones and this position would help backfill the M365 admins in their day-to-day M365 administration work. The duties of the position include: 1. Using the Office 365 Admin Center and/or Okta administrative tools. 2. Configuring and maintaining mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings. 3. Implementing and maintaining security measures in M365 to safeguard data and applications. 4. Working with and educating users on best practices and new features of M365. 5. Having strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders. Top Skills & Years of Experience: 1. Proficiency in using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. 2. Configuring and maintaining mailboxes, including email forwarding, shared mailboxes, and email security settings. 3. Implementing and maintaining security measures in M365 to safeguard data and applications. 4. Answering support tickets, assisting end users with issues related to Microsoft 365 and other cloud applications. 5. Working with and educating users on best practices and new features of M365. 6. Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with users and stakeholders. Nice to Have Skills 1. Experience in administering Microsoft 365 suite is important. 2. Familiarity with Active Directory, Intune, and/or Zoom a plus. 3. Knowledge of IAM systems and two factor authentication, in particular Okta, also preferred.
