height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"> Senior Solution Architect POWER’s Advanced Utility Solutions (AUS) team is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join our team of industry experts as we continue building the digital utility of the future! We are looking for an experienced solution architect that that can use their expertise to work with clients and our software and system integration teams to develop technical strategies, specify, design, and lead implementations of software solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of system architecture, data center management, enterprise architecture, managed services, and cloud technologies. The selected individual may be able to work remotely or out of one of our many office locations. Job Summary Of Roles And Responsibilities • Lead the design and implementation of complex enterprise systems, ensuring that they meet both short and long-term objectives. • Develop comprehensive system/solution architectures that meet business requirements and align with the client's technology strategy. • Develop business and technical strategies for system integration and software customization services. • Utilize experience in managed services to oversee the delivery and functionality of systems and integrations. • Apply methodologies that support enterprise architecture, such as TOGAF, to ensure our systems are designed and implemented to the highest standards. • Design and manage cloud environments, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and meet the needs of our enterprise systems. • Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations. • Define and communicate the business value of our technology solutions to client stakeholders at the C level. • Develop technology focused innovative service offerings from across all departments that will enable business growth and provide value to clients. Assist with sales and manage the delivery of service offerings. • Participate in strategic business unit initiatives and help to improve business unit processes, procedures, templates, and guidelines. • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams on key marketing initiatives and client facing opportunities. • Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization on client proposals, project execution, presentations, trade shows, and strategic initiatives. • Assist with business planning and execution of the department business plan. Required Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. • Minimum of 15 years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility in IT system administration, software development, and architecture roles covering a wide variety of hardware, software, network administration, system architecture, and management. • 5 years of work experience in enterprise GIS with a combination of system design, Enterprise Architecture, system implementation, and system administration. • Proven experience designing and deploying ArcGIS Enterprise in multi-environment configuration. • Familiarity with GIS Web services and APIs. • Esri GIS software development or administration experience. • Experience in managed services, data center management, and cloud management. • Experience with cloud migration strategies and implementations. • Knowledge of solution architecture and enterprise architecture methodologies, such as TOGAF. • Excellent leadership and communication skills. • Experience in sales activities including the review and preparation of responses to RFPs, RFIs, etc. • Experience developing enterprise system solutions, statements of work, and estimating work for proposals. • Electric, water, telco, or gas utility experience including experience with a wide variety of operational systems that are typically used (with a focus on GIS-centric systems). Desired Education/Experience: • Experience with AWS is preferred. • Experience developing partner programs, and the management of sub-contractors. • Proven ability to define and communicate the business value of IT solutions to C level client. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about technology solutions. • Candidate should have knowledge of typical software development tools including Visual Studio or similar IDE, .NET, Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML, Python. • REST application service architecture, development, deployment, and operational experience. • Mobile solution architecture for varying platforms (iOS, Android, Windows). • Relational database experience: MS SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres. • Analytics and reporting solution experience including structured and unstructured data, data warehouses, data lakes, etc. • Candidate should have knowledge of software such as MS DevOps, Jira, Slack, MS Teams, Smartsheet and the Microsoft Office suite of products used in managing development projects and resource assignments. Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000 per year The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike.
