Job Title: Windows VMware Administrator Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (Onsite) Duration: Long term Contract Note: Important to look for: Data central management and VX rail Job Description • VMware vCenter/ESXi Licensing upgrades • Managing AD, DHCP, DNS, Print Servers, and FSMO Roles; administering Windows NT 4.0, 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Windows operating systems • VMware operations, Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises for critical applications and project work • Creating virtual machines from VM templates, updating templates, allocating resources, and tuning performance • Maintaining virtualization environment using VMware and procedural documentation/manuals • Executing VM hardware upgrades, snapshot management, cloning, storage migrations, datastore creations • vMotion of virtual machines, host patching, general application patching in VMs and templates • HA, DRS configuration, VLAN creation, P2V (physical to virtual) with VMware standalone converter • Managing disk, memory, NIC, and CPU addition to VMs • Managing/creating file systems, disk management, and troubleshooting various issues • Installing and configuring monitoring, backup, and antivirus agents • Troubleshooting disk space, Windows Firewall, networking issues, operating system backup, and IIS issues • Leading maintenance, backups, system upgrades, service packs, hotfixes, vulnerability management, and security issues • Coordinating with vendors (HP, IBM, DELL) for hardware replacement, stakeholder communication • Ensuring support availability as per SLAs • Conducting architecture requirements assessment for software and hardware upgrades • Recommending and implementing service improvements using ITIL and CSI for improved efficiency • Providing Level 3 support and troubleshooting in systems environment • Verifying change requests and defects, assisting with incident management and change/problem management • Documentation of activities/procedures (WI, DLD, TRD) as per standards • Administering SCCM 2012 (daily tasks) • Willingness to work evenings/weekends for upgrade and patch management • Supporting servers for patch development and QA for apps by other teams • Understanding system regulatory and security interdependencies • Participating in hardware/software configuration and change management processes • Providing support for escalated issues and external vendor case handling • Performing scheduled server maintenance (e.g., patching) Mandatory Skills: • AWS Infra Services • Azure Active Directory • Azure Infra Services • IIS Server • Microsoft SCOM • PowerShell • SCCM • Windows Server
