This position requires onsite work in Miami. Position Overview Join our Global Marine Operations/Marine Technical Operations (MTO) team, where we utilize data to propel business decisions and enhance operational efficiency across our fleet of cruise ships. We are committed to upholding the highest data quality and compliance standards. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Data Governance Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and manage our AMOS data governance framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams and ships to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of our data assets. You will define data governance policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of AMOS data across the organization. • Work closely with data stewards, owners, and stakeholders to define data quality metrics and establish stewardship roles. • Monitor and assess data quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary corrective actions. • Conduct data profiling and analysis to understand data lineage and ensure compliance with governance policies. • Support the implementation of data management tools and technologies that align with governance best practices. • Facilitate governance meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance understanding of governance principles across the organization. • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices surrounding data governance and management. • Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in data governance, management, or a similar role. • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices. • Experience with data quality assessment tools and methodologies. • Familiarity with data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage concepts. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in data governance. • Proficient in SQL and data analysis tools; knowledge of data visualization tools is advantageous. • Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities. • Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
